A Pregnancy Journal

  • Tried journaling my first pregnancy and there was too much in that one and I barely filled it in
  • Pros: this one sections off by 4 weeks so you’re not falling behind, journaling every month is more doable for me than weekly, it leaves room for photos, and is aesthetically pleasing, is simple, and doesn’t ask all those random qs

Pregnancy Tracker

  • So exciting to get through each week of pregnancy! There’s also a lot of apps out there but this is the most informative and easy
  • Pros: lists common symptoms, a tip every day, videos if you’re a visual person, changes to your body every week, can choose between how you want to track your baby in sizes of fruits, Disney characters, 90’s items

Prenatals

  • Sooo many different brands out there, I knew I wanted to splurge on a prenatal and went with ritual. It contained just the needed ones specifically for pregnancy and a good daily value % of it, it just doesn’t have the other normal daily vitamins but that’s okay, so 2 pills of the prenatal and 2 pills of the choline which is important for brain support!
  • Pros: Subscription so I don’t have to think about buying the next ones, not too big and didn’t have trouble swallowing, third party tested and tells you where the ingredients came from

Nausea Relief: Preggie Pops

  • I didn’t have severe nausea and rarely vomited, so don’t trust this if you currently do
  • Pros: helps with mild nausea, tastes good, affordable!

A Good Pregnancy Read

  • 1st pregnancy I was reading all about manuals and all that learning, this pregnancy I wanted to have the right mental state and a good perspective, this is definitely that book
  • Pros: I am by no means a yogi, I only did it for a couple months, but this gives you poses and meditations for all the experiences you go rough with pregnancy, it’s easy to read, broken down into trimesters and stages, empowers you as a woman and a mother, and has all good things to get you in the right mental space for pregnancy

Hydration

  • Pregnant women need 300 more mls a day!
  • Pros: this is the 30 oz, we’re supposed to drink 64-92 oz a day so I know rule of thumb I should drinking 2-3 of these, also with the smaller one it’s not hard or too heavy on my wrist lol

Protein

  • I got diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes so early this time around (that’s for another whole post lol) but wanted to mention this protein, would also be good if you’re having a lot of nausea
  • Pros: plant based (for all the lactose intolerant mamas), it actually tastes good for plant based (not like Orgain), contains monk fruit so won’t increase your blood sugar!!

Maternity workout leggings

  • Started showing sooner than my first pregnancy so definitely needed maternity clothes early
  • Pros: Old navy leggings so soft and comfortable, affordable and old navy always has sales, and most importantly passes the squat test!

Hope this was helpful, I’m actually in my 2nd trimester now so will be coming out with those recs soon!
